Trauma Informed Therapeutic Modalities
Brainspotting
"Where you look affects how you feel."
Dr. David Grand
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with Biolateral sound, which is deep, direct, and powerful yet focused and containing.

"This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival."
Rumi
This evidence-based approach assumes each individual possesses a variety of sub-personalities, or “parts,” and attempts to get to know each of these parts better to achieve healing.
By learning how different parts function as a system and how the overall system reacts to other systems and other people, people in therapy can become better able to identify the roots of conflict, manage any complications arising, and achieve greater well-being.
"When out parts feel loved, our hearts open to others."
Toni Herbine-Blank
Intimacy From the Inside Out© is a experiential psychotherapy method that draws primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), to heal, improve, and provide relationship help. The model includes aspects of psychodynamic theory, systems thinking, neuroscience and mindfulness practices.

Ecotherapy
"To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles." Mary Davis
Ecotherapy is an approach that rests on the idea that people have a deep connection to their environment and to the earth itself. In this same line of thinking, failing to nurture this connection can take a toll on your well-being, particularly your mental health.
Musenge offers all services both in and outdoors!
Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy
"How do you stand in relation to these many realms?"
Hakomi a body-centered approach that combines somatic awareness with experiential techniques to promote psychological growth and transformation.
Hakomi theory holds the body to be a window to unconscious psychological material, and trained practitioners work to help those in therapy identify somatic indicators of unconscious beliefs and then bring these indicators into awareness, thus aiding the process of change.
Hakomi integrates principles of Eastern philosophy, primarily Buddhism and Taoism, emphasizing concepts such as mindfulness, loving presence, and empathy. The name is based on the Hopi Indian word that asks the question “Who are you?”
